Opening stones

Opening stones are small rocks (or, less commonly, gemstones) that are enchanted to work just like a key, when they touch a portal carrying the appropriate enchantment. They are relatively rare, but are sometimes used by organizationally minded mages -- for example, at the Skylark School of Magery.
