Usage vs. Taxonomy

"Herb" describes the usage of a plant, while "Fungi" describes its position in botanical taxonomy. Should we allow both kinds of Herbarium subs, or only one of the two? -- Arancaytar | Send Reply! --- That is not dead which can eternal lie... 04:44, 15 March 2007 (PDT)

I don't think "Herbs" would be a useful category. The line is pretty blurry on culinary herbs (does Skribbane count, given the existence of Soporific Brew?), while for medicinal (= alchemical?) herbs it lacks the synthesizing classifying scheme of Alchemical ingredients. I doubt the Herbarium category will ever grow to a very large size, anyway, so it's not necessary. -- Slarty 07:31, 15 March 2007 (PDT)
