The Filth Factory was where the plague of cockroaches on the Isle of Bigail originated. It was destroyed by the Surface Explorers' use of a Phoenix Egg. Before its destruction, it was located on the north of Shayder, near Hectar. Its location was betrayed by the GIFTR.
From records of the Surface Explorers, the set up of the Filth Factory was highly sophisticated and included laboratories for increasing the virulence of the disease the cockroaches would carry. The entire factory was based around an immense trashpit.
