An amalgamation is not really a pidgin. At least, it sounds like you are describing something like English, with major influences from two different languages, albeit something that happened on a rather sped-up timeframe. If nothing else, if Imperial Standard originated as a pidgin, there's no way it would remain one for a long time, if it was used as the dominant language all over the place. It would naturally develop more complicated grammatical structures and a more extensive lexicon. --- Slarty 09:51, 26 March 2006 (CST)
