Talk:Nephilim Castle
Wait a minute. Anastasia may not have been queen, but she was still a prominent figure. And the only one we know of by name, so she at least deserves mention. They also did pose a threat to Avernum do to their location. That is to say, they were messing with Formello, one of the Six, and had Fort Duvno been overrun the Portal could have been taken. The cultists may not have been nephil, my memory was rather hazy, so thanks for catching that. Was there anything happening at the Nephilim Castle during Avernum 4? - She's not the only one we know of by name. There is also Thinshadow. Regardless, we know she didn't lead the whole clan in any way. She was one of the leaders of the warrior faction, which at the time of E1 was in conflict with the priest faction (presumably led by Thinshadow). Mentioning the competition and leaders makes sense; mentioning Anastasia alone is misleading.
- They did not pose a serious threat to Avernum. They posed a minor threat. Remember, people died to random monsters, nephils and sliths all the time in the early days, so the fact that they killed a few citizens in raids doesn't really make them special. They weren't capable of "taking" Formello. As far as Fort Duvno goes, they didn't attack it and there were other nephil forts that were closer to Duvno (well, one at least).
- In A4 I believe Kelda made her lair in its (rebuilt?) ruins, not sure though. -- Slarty 14:56, 26 January 2008 (PST)
Update for A:EftP
The nice thing about the remake is that we have been given so many names to work with.
For example the command structure during the A1/A:EftP remake was split in three. 1: Chief Charrar 2: High Shaman Mrrrrmm 3: Zemera(Renamed Anastasia)
