I just dug through the BoA creature info, one of the few canon places I hadn't looked yet. Apparently, Wyrms and Dark Wyrms are both classified as reptiles... which means they aren't just giant worms.

Sigh!

I'll move the wyrm and wyrmkin stuff to wyrms.
