Camp Samuels was a fort erected mainly for training purposes. The avernite army trained its' grunts and privates there for the Empire-Avernum War. Depending on the source, it is said to have been situated ten to twenty miles north of the Castle, perched on the shores of Remote Lake. Somewhat of a curiosity, the fort had an obstacle course that was used to train the privates.
The fort was assaulted a few times by Empire raiders, but were beaten back by the unified efforts of the instructors and the recruits.
