Mother Claudette was the founder of the Temple of the Good Spirit in 781 IE at Formello, though it was later renamed to the Church of the Bright Star after her death. She maintained the Temple for thirty-seven years. During the First Slith War she tasked the Hawthorne's Assassins to satiate her desire to know about the Exile's first priests. It is described that the Mother was interested in reseach and history. She also taught several of the simpler rituals and incantations to wandering priests and adventurers of faith.

Mother Claudette ran the temple with the help of Father Caius for a time, until she died in the year 818 IE. Father Caius had fled during the First Slith War, but later returned upon hearing of Claudette's death to continue the Church.
