Coffee

A potent, bitter-tasting beverage, made by mixing the seeds of a shrub with hot water. Coffee has the properties of a stimulant, albeit much weaker than skribbane, and marginally less addictive.

Coffee's popularity appears to be greatest in areas whose inhabitants face greatest stress. For example it was consumed in Valorim at the time of the Plagues, being on sale in Dellston; coffee was also used to refresh soldiers fighting the golems under the command of General Baziron in Monroe Province.
