Nathan

Nathan was an Avernite mage who came to specialize in teleportation.

Nathan completed an apprenticeship at the Tower of Magi in 823 IE. Nathan expected to be sent to the front lines, but was instead put to work as a researcher, working on the Tower of Magi portal. Nathan spent the following decade teaching at the Tower, and was one of the few survivors of the Tower of Magi disaster. He spent decades in the ruins, salvaging what could be found and helping to build the Tower Colony.

When the successor to the Tower's portal was constructed at Fort Avernum, Nathan was appointed to be that fort's commander.
