When the Tower of Magi was destroyed by the archmage Linda, a glorious rebuilding project was started. However, as time went on and the Crown became more wary of the magical activities going on in the Tower, the project slowly lost funding, until the Triad was abolished. Outside the ruins of the Tower of Magi is the Tower Colony, where magical teaching and research still take place, although under the watchful eye of Kelner, formerly of the Triad. The Tower Colony is also home to the Surface Portal. For those brave enough or magically warded enough to venture into the ruins, magical items and spellbooks can be salvaged for profit or knowledge.
