What is considered Present Day in the context of the Encyclopedia varies, since the timeline of Ermarian is in no way synchronized with real-life history.
The most usually assumed "current date" is the time of the most recent publication of the Encyclopedia Ermariana in Redmark College, City of Dawn. This is the year 875 IE. As information cannot be gathered overnight, it is reasonable to assume that the accuracy of some information can only be guaranteed going back several years in time, but in no cases earlier than 871 IE.
Where another time is considered to be the present, this will be indicated either in a footnote or in the header of the article.
