The Encyclopedia Ermariana is a work compiled and published by the Redmark College. Aiming to collect all knowledge of the Surface and the Caves, the Encyclopedia was first published in the year 843 IE, a few years after the college was founded. Since then, it has been continually expanded and revised, until the latest edition in 860 IE. A few years back, the college set up a separate faculty charged with maintaining the Encyclopedia; depending on their field of study, graduating students are required to spend several months as a field researcher.
