Well, "Black Shades" was awful -- that's my fault, and it's because I edited Aussieavernum's somewhat confused stub after having played only through Formello. The Formello shade is the "Black Shade of Ice" -- though never in dialogue or description, only in its label -- and I assumed the others followed suit. They don't.

It is game canon that they are extensively modified, regular undead shades however -- Correlea concludes this after you get a piece of one into that vial for her. -- Slarty 13:21, 23 March 2007 (PDT)
