The island of Gorst is part of the island chain off the southeast coast of the Karnold Province. The island is the home of many types of Alchemical Herbs which are the major industry of the island, the other being fishing. It's largest settlement is the town of the same name.
After the great storms in 832 IE devastated the area, greatly damaging the town at which most of the residents left and only after a few years started returning. There were also rumours that the shrine of the island, the Temple of the Surging Darkness was attempting to harness unholy powers but nothing has been verified if these rumours are true (Or if they were successful.).
