The town of Marralis is a farming village in the northwest of Skylark Vale. It is slightly southwest of Blinlock, and far northwest of Sweetgrove.

Skylark Curse

During the Skylark Curse, Marralis was hit the hardest of the three cities in the Vale, and surpassed only by the village of Ptolm. Completely dependent on agriculture for its survival, once the riverwater poisons reached them, the city suffered complete economic failure. The crops soon became sickly, and most died. Furthering the devastation, the diseased waters thinned the population. The survivors mostly abandoned the city to its fate, fleeing either from Skylark completely via Fort Talrus, or headed to better grounds, like nearby Blinlock. Only one family remained in the city, providing precious, if sickly, crops for the rest of the Vale.
