Woodsmuir is the capital of Vantanas. The city is one the northwestern coast of the continent.

Imperial Dominion

The Imperial Governor resides in Woodsmuir, and it is the area where the Empire has the most control. Imperial control becomes less and less the farther one goes from Woodsmuir, with the exception of key economic or strategic areas.

History

When Vantanas was discovered, Woodsmuir was among the first settlements established by the Empire.

Population

Being among the first cities established, it is the most populated city on the continent. It retains the title to this day, at just under a million citizens at any given point in time, including traders, adventurers, and other visitors.

Economy

Woodsmuir is the largest port on mainland Vantanas. As such, most of the spices, gemstones, etc. are sent by caravan to be traded with goods from other continents, most notably Pralgad, and then brought back to be traded with spices, gemstones, etc. The Sailor's Association then brings the valued goods to the other continents for a tidy profit.
