One of the Empire's greatest outposts during the Empire-Avernum War was Fort Dolthar, built atop the old castle of Sss-Thsss in the Waterfall Warrens. From here, General Limoncelli launched raids throughout the caves. He was stopped from striking directly at the Great Cave only by Fort Emerald.
The fort was eventually destroyed (and Limoncelli killed) by the Empire War Heroes.
