During the Empire-Avernum War, the Empire built this outpost to keep Avernite soldiers out of their lands, as well as to pressure Avernite defenses in the Eastern Gallery. Much of the Tower's effort was devoted to attacking nearby Fort Dranlon. However, Elderan, the archmage in charge of the Tower, was also one of the war's major strategic planners, and a trusted lieutenant of Garzahd himself.
The Tower was eventually sacked (and Elderan killed) by the Empire War Heroes.
